Greg Rickford is For the People.
Hailing from the great riding of Kenora-Rainy River Greg Rickford was elected to the Ontario Legislature as the MPP for Kenora-Rainy River on June 7th, 2018. Greg is the Minister of Indigenous Affairs Ontario in addition to being Minister of Energy, Northern Development and Mines. He also is a member of the Treasury Board of Ontario.
Greg was born in Paris Ontario and has spent much of his adult life in northern Ontario. He currently resides in Keewatin, Ontario with his wife Janet and two young girls.
He has experienced throughout the north having served as a nurse in first nations communities in remote parts of northern Ontario. He also holds an MBA and is a lawyer. He is a former Member of Parliament for the riding of Kenora, at which time he held several ministerial posts in the federal government.
Greg is proud to represent the constituents of the Kenora-Rainy River riding and is intent on being a strong experienced voice with a focus on delivering results by ensuring that northwestern Ontario is well represented in the Ontario Legislature.
