Investing in Health Care and Land Ambulance - Fort Frances, Kenora and Dryden
Published on November 19, 2019MPP Greg Rickford announced on November 12th that across Ontario, the government is investing an additional $68 million to support small and medium-sized hospitals. This includes an increase in funding of $292,000 for Lake of the Woods District Hospital, $260,000 for Riverside Health in Fort Frances $341,000 for the Sioux Lookout Meno-Ya-Win Health Centre, and a $185,000 increase for Dryden Regional Health Centre. In total, 66 small and medium-sized hospitals across the province received incremental funding.
The Kenora District Services Board is also receiving an incremental $1.4 million in funding that adds two more permanent paramedics in Kenora, providing relief to the system throughout the region.
